Course description:Students will learn basic information about blockchain technology and how crypto-currency will be used within our society. The use of digital currency is expanding globally and will someday be implemented throughout society; perhaps by 2023, according to the World Economic Forum.
Questions that will be answered for students attending this class:
1) What is blockchain technology?
2) What is an ico?
3) What is the difference between a token and a coin?
4) And, the importance of reading and understanding the white paper
Instructor: Frances Smith-Dean is the Executive Director of the Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Community Outreach Center. She has extensive experience as a political activist, a community leader and a successful economist. She has utilized her vast knowledge as a financial consultant, both nationally and internationally, by working with business leaders around the world about foreign exchange trade opportunities. As the owner of The Financial Educator, she provides training sessions about the economy to her clientele throughout the nation. She serves also as business advisor to several faith-based organizations.
