The workshop session will cover:

  • Understanding a credit score and why it matters

  • Factors that affect your score

  • Ways to build, monitor, and improve your score

Presenter: Isela Aguilar serves as Banking Center Manager for Comerica Bank at the R L Thornton Banking Center in East Dallas. She is responsible for building teams to forge and deepen relationships with clients.  She has more than 20 years in the financial services industry. Aguilar began her career as a part-time teller and worked her way through the ranks.  She was named Teller of the Year, Operations Supervisor of the Year, and Banking Center Manager of the Year for Community Involvement/Development, and has won numerous sales and service awards. Isela graduated from Leadership Allen (Class of 2011) and Mujeres De Hace Leadership Academy (Fall 2018 Cohort).  Presently, she serves on the Woodrow Wilson High School Finance Academy Advisory Board. She is a partner with Wilkinson Center, Texas Tenants’ Union, and Dream Angels where she serves as mentor and advocates power in knowledge through financial literacy. Aguilar holds a Bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Dallas.
